PARISH AND CATHOLIC SCHOOL SUPPORT
Council 867 is honored to support four Catholic parishes and two Catholic schools within the City of Lancaster, as well as providing scholarships to one student of each school every year.

ROSARY
The Knights lead the praying of the Rosary prior to the Vigil Mass every Saturday evening at 4:30 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Church. The intention is for World Peace.
VOCATIONS SUPPORT
Through the Ramey Fund, named after former Grand Knight William J. Ramey, Council 867 provides financial support to seminarians within the Diocese of Harrisburg and the Archdiocese for the Military Services USA.
DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET
and ROSARY
The Knights pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary Monday through Thursday in Historic St. Mary's chapel, immediately following the 12:05 PM Mass. On Friday, the chaplet is prayed silently in the church during Adoration.
FAMILY
COMMUNITY MEALS
The Community Meal is for anyone in need of a meal. 867 Knights assist St. Mary's Community Meal ministry three times each year. They prepare and serve a dinner meal for all in need.
FAMILY OF THE YEAR
This initiative is meant to promote and support the development of strong and vibrant families. Each quarter, a family that models Christian family values and visibly lives them every day is selected from one of the four parishes supported by Council 867 to be the Family of the Year. At the end of the year, each of the four parishes Council 867 serves is a home parish to a Family of the Year.
KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS
Promote the true spirit of Christmas in homes, schools, parishes and communities with billboard displays and the sale of yard signs, magnets, etc.
BOX OF JOY
Close to Christmas, Box of Joy provides simple gifts to children around the world who may have never received a Christmas gift. Each shoe-sized box includes essentials, the Rosary and The Story of Jesus, making every gift a tangible expression of Christ's love.
COMMUNITY
COATS FOR KIDS
The Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids® program provides warmth for children in need during cold winter months. Through the dedication of councils across the United States and Canada, over one million new winter coats have been distributed to children since the program's inception.
SOCCER CHALLENGE
The Soccer Challenge encourages the values of sportsmanship and healthy competition for youth ages 9 to 14. Youth demonstrate the most important skill in soccer—shooting accuracy on the penalty kick—and compete to reach the international level of competition.
FREE THROW CHAMPIONSHIP
Since 1972 Knights of Columbus councils have sponsored Free Throw Championships for boys and girls ages 9 to 14 to provide an athletic outlet and encourage the values of sportsmanship and healthy competition.
LIFE
SPECIAL OLYMPICS
Council 867 celebrates the worth and dignity of every human being through its support of the Special Olympics. A sponsored brother Knight of Council 867 volunteers to "take the plunge" at an annual Polar Plunge event, the proceeds of which provide free year-round sports training and competition opportunities to people with intellectual disabilities in our community.
ULTRASOUND INITIATIVE
The Knights of Columbus works together as an organization to purchase ultrasound machines for qualifying pregnancy centers. In order to help women choose life, women have the opportunity to view their unborn children on ultrasound machines at pro-life pregnancy centers.
